Hello : )
We’re “It’s About Time.” We strive to create the most innovative learning environments out there. We’re very proud of Learn the Switch to Mac and hope you enjoy it. It’s designed for all users - power to beginners. Start by clicking what you want to learn, then watch Saied, your instructor, teach you about the feature. After he teaches you, you try it yourself on the virtual Mac we’ve built into the learning enviroment. If you complete the lesson correctly, you get a gold star. It’s really fun. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to teach you all about the Mac. We’re really grateful to be apart of your experience.
Click to learn
Don’t worry. There’s no index with thousands of
overwhelming words. Our learning environment
uses something we call “Click to learn.” Basically
anything you see on the screen is clickable. If you’re
intrigued by something, simply place your mouse
over it and you’ll get a description of what that is. If
you want to learn it, just click it. Click to learn also
has a built in tracking system and gives you a gold
star when you complete a lesson correctly. It’s the
most non-overwhelming learning environment ever.
Connecting the dots...
- Why throw away knowledge? We take advanage of
your exisiting Windows knowledge and teach you
the Mac equivalents. This helps you learn faster and
it’s more enjoyable because you really get to see why
the Mac is so good. Although the Mac is different in
many ways than Windows, a lot of normal daily tasks
are just about the same, but in different locations.
For example, to open Programs, you’re used to
going to Start - All Programs. On the Mac, we call
Programs, Applications. To get to your Applications
just click Finder - Applications and there they are.
And, of course, we teach you Mac-only features
These are the reasons why you fall in love with the Mac. From video chatting in iChat, to backing up your data with
Time Machine, to using widgets in Dashboard - the Mac does everything with elegance and quality. We’re honored
to be the ones to teach you about all these amazing features the Mac has to offer.
